| MedValConsulting is a Division of MVC Consulting, Inc., that specializes in the valuation of various assets of healthcare related operations. Medical facilities include full-service hospitals, specialty hospitals, surgery centers, cancer centers, imaging centers, nursing homes, purchase and rental senior housing properties, physician clinics and medical office buildings. Representatives of MedValConsulting are experienced in the valuation of business assets, real estate assets, equipment assets, and we have recently valued related medical assets of for-profit entities, non-profit entities and public-benefit institutions. Valuation of these assets can be prepared for purchase price accounting (PPA) purposes, for government compliance when non-profit assets are conveyed to for-profit entities, and for property tax-appeal purposes. Valuations can also be prepared to assist in partnership dissolutions, for estate planning, to assist with contract-driven ownership changes, as well as for financing purposes. Representatives of ValUConsulting are experienced with fair value acquisition appraisals of hospitals, hotels and senior housing facilities, property tax appeal appraisals of hospitals, hotels, and senior housing facilities, hospital equipment appraisals for new book accounting and depreciation purposes, fair market value (FMV) and fair market rent (FMR) for Stark II or partnership considerations, various consulting services, valuation and non-valuation, and expert witness valuations and testimony. There are Stark II, anti-kickback law, compliance requirements governing the sale or leases of assets between hospitals and physicians that can potentially admit patients to hospitals funded by government programs (Medicare, Medicaid, etc.). Representatives of MedValConsulting are experienced in independently estimating fair market value or fair rental values to assist with Stark II compliance issues or tenant lease renewals.
